Hello there, I have been lurking these forums for a while now and especially because I plan on installing the autopage rs 1100 alarm myself. I have done a ton of research and am very familiar with electrical components (I am studying to become an electrical engineer). But I am lost with the transponder bypass situation. Which bypass should I get? I've looked into the dei 555p, (and idatalink as well but the dei 555p is a lot cheaper) but will that work with the rs 1100? Is it needed? Please let me know and thank you very much.

Any brand bypass should work just fine with your remote start system. A bypass is definitely needed. Do yourself a favor and look around for DEI's 1100F, that 555P is a huge PITA, it is a pellet and you have to find the 'sweet' spot when installing and hot glue it in place. I actually have a few of the 555P's sitting on the shelf in my garage and just refuse to use them because the data style modules are so much better. The 1100F ties in via data so it is not affected by heat or cold you can find them online for $15 or so and it works like a charm.

Sweet thanks. Though my local chops would like 100 dollars out of me, I've decided to just go ahead and purchase the dei 1100f online and at around 15 dollars posted_image Thanks!

Hey guys, I am currently trying to install my rs 1100 in my 2003 ford mustang and have come to a small problem. I'm not sure what to do with the ground output when disarmed wire and ground output when armed wire. They only have given me one relay and it seems that I need 2 but I'm not sure. Here are some pictures of what the installation manual tells me. Also is it necessary to use a diode if I have 2 seperate door trigger wires?
