hi i have installed a remote start system in my audi but think there is interference from the alarm/immobiliser it has the resistor palet in the key and acording to the wiring data base my car has got a disarm wire negative. the problem i have is that i can some times start the car with the remote and then the next time it wont. is there a way i can put a resistor in place to sort the passkey and how do i disarm the factory alarm as there was no wire of the new alarm module to conect to it.

A 96 Audi should not have a security chip in the key. As far as disarming the alarm you need to hook up your unlock wire from the remote start to the unlock wire in the car. Its a BROWN / green wire in the drivers kickpanel. You will need to set the starter to double unlock pulse.
