Hello i am new to the site i have picked up a 3in1 prostart alarm and am trying to install it in my 2001 ford f350 S.D./ v10 gas truck.. I tryed to find the wiring for my ford thu the prostart web site and it does not show the one for my truck the only one it shows is for 2002 and the wiring is wrong i have part of it hocked up can someone please email me the right wiring for my truck ""my truck is all torn apart and damn its cold out'' :oops: ------------- 2001 ford f350 SD 9 inch lift kit with 54inch tires

easy truck, but pos alarm. The starter works great, good range and decent 2way capabilities.
if the shock sensor goes off, it doesnt page the remote. installed a few, and they worked great, but not worth the money. ------------- Ted

Hello again so yes I tryed to install the remote starter and I had no luck it seems like the equipment was bad this is how I installed it.
Remote starter wires. // Truck wires.
2 red 12 volt to 2 yellow 12 volt wires Hot all the time. NOTE 2 YELLOW WIRES. yellow ignition to RED / black big wire orange accessories to gray / YELLOW big wire Purple starter to RED / light blue wire green 5th relay to ------------------- BLACK TAPE..
black to ground- purple to TACH ac. gray to hood switch+ orange to brake switch+ yellow to parking lights brown wire+
I did install the SIREN and no start at all did i do something wrong i did not hook the doors up yet i was trying to get it to start frist So I took it back and got a new one its here in the box i am not sure if i want to do this its cold outside..lol. ware did i go wrong with it ? i closed the hood lights flashed 4 times NO siren sound at all HELP Would be nice guys PLEASE.. ------------- 2001 ford f350 SD 9 inch lift kit with 54inch tires

you need to program remotes and tach then you can start it up. what bypass module you using?

I am not using a module my key is not chiped so i don't need one do i?

Also ign 2 needs connecting, BLACK/ light green, what EXACTLY happens when yo try to activate it? Have you programmed tach and remotes?
Also use a spell-check, it goes to your workmanship! You should contact Tedmund if you are local, pay him to install this properly.

ProStarts you need to program remote and also tach wire. No bypass required for the Super Duty's ( except in 2008+ ). Also, the IGN wire may also be a BLUE/GREEN instead of the RED / BLACK. Check to see that you have the proper IGN wire.

Have you checked the outputs of your original unit?

Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

Not a thing happens its dead in the water .
i have the new one i will install it today.

ok i got it in and working i did not do the power door locks yet as it is on a power delay and i am not sure how to do that i will look in to that .
