First, you want to make sure the XK05 is flashed with the correct firmware.  It should be PKH2 V1.0.
Follow the install guide, available here :  https://www.xpresskit.com/product.aspx?productid=346#m_PKH2

The wire colors are as follows:  Green 5 Pin connector @ Ignition cylinder

XK05                   Signal                 S2000
Violet/White        Data                  Pin 2 RED / Blue - cut wire - Key side
Violet                   Data                  Pin 2 RED / Blue - cut wire - ECM side
Orange               Synchro            Pin 3 Pink/Blue
Red                    +12v
Black                  Chassis Ground
Brown                GRW                  Remote starter ( GWR or AKA (-)200mA Status Output )

The Starter(+) wire is Blue/White in a Light Blue 24 Pin Plug to the left of the steering column.

Yep, its either that or PKT2 firmware from the factory.  A couple of choices.

1.) Buy the XKLoader USB cable and flash the correct firmware yourself.  Cost about $30 @ "online auction".

2.) Try the local BestBuy and see if the friendly tech there will flash it for you.  Tip well.

3.) Try any local Auto Accessory Install shops to see if they have the XKLoader cable and will do it for you.  Tip well.
