im installing a remote starter in an 2001 isuzu rodeo wanted to know witch bypass i should get

i dont know if its passlock2, vats passlock3 look through the owners manual and it doesn't say just that it has anti-theft does anyone know what this vehicle has?

also i installed a remote starter in my wifes 2000 pontiac grand am it didn't have the chip in the key but the immobilizer was in the key cylinder so i had to get a bypass for that

there is no immobilizer in that vehicle if you do not believe me check with idatalinks web site and xpresskit.

you will not even find the vehicle listed.

yes the 2000 grand am has one the 2001 Isuzu rodeo does not.

they did not put in an immobilizer until 2003 in the rodeo

there is an anti-theif system in this vehicle but i can't seem to find anything on those websites you gave to me i would hate to pull this car apart and find out i need the bypass for the anti-theif system

there is no type of anti-thief system on that vehicle. that is why it is not listed

dude im telling you on the dash there is a light for the anti-theif system also a sticker from the manufactuer on the drivers side door window the reads this vehicle is equipped with anti-theif also in the book it has it if you want i'll take pic and show you!

Your 'anti-theft' stickers refer to the factory alarm your vehicle has. Factory alarm is not the same thing as an immobilizer. You DO have a factory alarm, but no bypass is required for remote start. Take a look at the wiring information you have, you will see a 'factory alarm disarm' yellow/blue wire, this wire requires a negative pulse to turn off the factory alarm.

Just so it's straight...I am NOT the12volt...he is the owner of this incredible resource (the12volt.com). I created my handle 'twelvoltz' when I worked in the industry (I've used the name since 98).
