I need help with Chrysler T&C, 2001 parking lights. The van has a viper remote starter installed. I have the receipt but the place where it was installed is no longer in business. When started with a remote starter, all the exterior lights (headlight, parking, fog) flash. I just want parking lights to turn on. I understand that I need a 2K ohm resistor at the WHITE/ brown wire at headlight switch. Most posts here refer to document # 1082. I don't have access to this document. So far I looked at the headlight switch at it looks like the WHITE/ brown wire is cut, one end is connected to a thicker yellow wire (maybe from a relay socket) and the other end is connected to a black wire. I don't want to open more wires than I need to. Please provide your expert help on what to do next. Thanks.

Does the van have auto headlamps? If so, do you leave the switch in the auto position?

Audiovox calls for a 1.5K resistor to do parking lights.

Thanks for the info from Bulldog Security. I am under the impression that for some reason directed electronics suggests to do it differently. Instead of connecting the relay output to WHITE/ brown wire, the installer cut the WHITE/ brown wire to connect it to two different wires (maybe from a relay). Does anyone have a wiring diagram for 2001 Chrysler town and country from Directed Electronics ( tech tip document # 1082)?

You are making this harder than it suppose to be. There is a WHITE/ BROWN (+) park light wire in the DKP that controls only the park lights. Wire the (+) from the RS unit and it's done.
