The problem we are having is that every once in a while, when remote starting, the vehicle will flash the parking lights and headlights while running. I have gone back and veriefied all connections and made sure that CONSTANT is the selection for parking lights in the 991.
All the interior dash lights and radio will flash in cadence.
Seems like somebody else had the same problem I just cant find the thread.
Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Are you using a bitwriter to program the unit? If so ensure when you hit write and you see the transmitter number screen appear that it is set to zero.

unless you've got something hooked up wrong it should not be able to flash the headlamps, only the parklamps.... i would pull the lamp fuse on the white wire and see if it still does it (eliminating the R/S as the culprit)

You are right, only the parking lights flash.
I am using a bitwriter, and I will make sure the transmitters are set to zero. I know they are set to two right now. I dont understand the transmitter setting. Do I need to diode isolate the parking light wire?
Thanks for the help guys!

How many remotes do you have for this remote starter?  The remote starter can be set up to have four remote controls assigned to it, each one can have different features/settings.  Using the Bitwriter to set the desired settings and then writing those settings to all transmitters, (0), it will program those settingd to all assigned remotes.  If the write it for remote 1, 2, 3, or 4, those settings will only be assigned to that one remote.  So, you could set four different settings to four different remote, to one remote system.  If any of this make sense.
