So I installed a Viper 5902 with an Express Kit DLPK bypass last month in my 2008 Altima. Everything has been working great but about a week ago or I was having random unlocking issues. Basically, once in a while I would disarm the alarm but the doors would not unlock. So I have to press my door unlock button. This only happens once in a while but I can continue to press disarm and it will not unlock, unless I let it sit for a while. All the connections are solid.
Then this week (Monday) my remote start option started to act up. I try to remote start my car in the morning before leaving for work and it fail, telling me Low Tach Signal. Yes it cranked but wouldn’t turn on. Later on the day while getting ready to leave work to go to my evening class the remote start worked fine. Tuesday morning worked fine, Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday evening it failed, Wednesday morning and afternoon worked fine and today in the morning (Thursday) it failed. I checked all hardness and fuse. I also notice that my trunk release if not working either. I think I have a bad 5902 but wanted to see what else you guys recommend I troubleshoot. I’m going to try to reset all of the programming tonight if I don’t get home too late.
Thanks
Carlos

Have you checked your grounds?

Yes,I have all the grounds bolted to one main location where I sanded the paint off. The car Remote started just fine last night after work, after class and this morning. But then I was leaving my fiancee's house last night and disarmed the car, which it did but it did not unlocked the car so I had to unlock it again with the door button.I think I might have some time tomorrow morning to look more into this, but I don't know what else it might be.
