hey guys,

customer came in today with an 04 grand prix with a python 1400xv and idatalink ads-al. it wasnt installed here but the customer claims that when you remote start the car on occassion the radio/clock reset themselves like the battery is being disconnected. starting the car with the key its fine. thinking its something with the bypass but i'm not sure.

any insight?

There isn't too much in the way of connections from the ADS AL CA to the car ( only 2 physical wire connections ). How long ago was the install? The current ADS AL(DL) GM1 firmware is Ver 4.5 and uses install Type 4 with the ADS RNG GM3 for PK3 bypass.

Might check for loose fuses and loose radio connections.
