Subject: 09 tacoma, remote start won't remote start

I installed an autopage RS730 and Idatalink ADS-TB in this tacoma the iDatalink programed just fine no prob at all when i went to test the remote start it did not even attempt to start, the RS730 recieved the signal and sounded like it was going to attempt to start but the parking lights came on and nothing happened. I installed many many remote starts on numerous toyotas and never had a problem. I unplugged the datalink and left the key in the ignition and still nothing. The car starts perfectly fine with the key but when remote starting i get nothing. The heater blower comes on parking lights dash lights up...... I tested all of the main connections and they are all correct. I know this car has 2 starter wires, the 730 has a second starter wire that i did install into the car. I am actually baffeled and am in need of some advice, and if anyone could give me an idea of where i could find the factory alarm disarm and the door lock and unlock wires I would appreciate it everything i have found states that there is a white 10 pin harness in the drivers kick but i just dont see it.

Thanks

Does it try 3 times then shut off?
If so turn on ignition press trunk on keypad and count the flashes on led.

What color is the led on the bypass when you remote start it?

I did not let it try 3 times after the first time it did not start i would step on the brake or shut it down with the keypad. I turned on the ignition and pressed the trunk, I got 7 flashes on the LED which tells me that its the transmitter but clearly the transmitter works, I can arm/disarm and it reconizes the signal for the remote start, just wont start, the bypass is green when it tries to remote start

Let it run threw the full 3 times and see what you get for the diagnostic. Sometimes its different if you shut it down by the brake.

Do you have it set up for tach or voltage?

I have it set for voltage..........but i am not crazy right there is nothing really different or difficult about this truck? I have done many toyotas and havent run into this problem before I know that all grounds are good the thing that confuses me is that even if i disconnect the bypass and just leave the key in the ignition it still doesnt work so its def not the bypass its the remote start for sure.

Did you power up both ignitions?

Yes, the yellow IGN1 from the remote start is going to BLACK/ Red coming off the ignition and the Pink IGN2 from the remote start is going to the Blue / YELLOW coming from the ignition

The BLACK/ white is grounded, if it wasnt grounded the car would not try to turn over , what happens is when i press the remote start button on the remote the parking lights come on the dash lights up and radio and heater come on during the start sequence when the ignition should turn over there is a pause and the radio and heater go off for a second and then come back on.

iDatalink ADS-TB, it programed just fine but even if i disconnect the bypass and put the key in the ignition to test the remote start it does the same thing, during remote start sequence the iDatalink shows a green light when trying to start so I know that is correct

Yes I put a test light on the starter wire and it was off until the starter should have been cranking during remote start and it lit up for about 2 seconds then went off

yup i tapped both starters and both ignitions, this is messed up I dont believe the unit is bad its brand new and i think the likely hood of it being dead is not really possible everything else works just fine, I think i am going to try a factory reset on the unit and maybe a passive starter disable was somehow programmed or something stupid like that...thanks for your advice if you think of anything else please let me know
