So I had a local installation shop install a 2-way remote start/alarm in my 07 Subaru Legacy and I've had an intermittent problem. Every so often, my airbag light lights up on the dash. When it happens, it comes on for the duration of the trip and then may or may not happen the next time I start it up. Could there be any chance this could be related to the remote starter install?

Just a little more info, I checked the codes that it was throwing and it pointed to the passenger airbag harness. The pass airbag on/off indicator on the console seems to work intermittently also. Sometimes if I hit it, it comes on when it's not working.

I normally wouldn't think this was from the starter, but I figured I'd check to see if anyone else has seen this because I didn't notice it happen really before the starter was installed. I DID only have the car for a month or so before that, though.

well, if the person who installed for u was a professional, then logically it should not be the starter causing this issue, however we can't verify that, you would have to.
