Hey just installed an 5901 in the car< all works prefect except that the oem alarm will not disarm when the system is armed an r/s is tried. R/s works perfect when system is disarmed.

And it seems every 30 mins after arming the alarm goes off, remote says door.  I diode isolated both lock wires and the door pin wire. So do i need to double diode isolate the door pin, and if so i put the diode in line with the wire after my connection to the alarm and before the gecm?

GECM --[ | |    ]-- (diode)----alarm door pin wire------to door pins

Correct? or diode facing other way?

Diode facing the other way if door pins are neg. triggered.
You are trying to stop a neg. signal FROM the ECU to the 5901.
Congrats by the way very few people would take this on, even if it is a Ford Mondeo, hey just a thought, if it is a Mondeo you hit the answer right on the money, look up DEI 1076 diagramme in the down load section, it shows the wiring in great detail.

why do you say congrats? it wasnt that bad of an install. Just took a long time to install because i soldered and double checked everything.

So i will try the double diode, but does anyone know about the oem disarm, like there are the two oem alarm arm and disarm wires on the viper, say i was to relay hook those up to the door lock wires would that work? or is there a way to get the viper to unlock car, r.s and then lock?

You didn't read why I said congrats, proper soldering and pretesting is a given to avoid problems.
You might use the key sense wire, unfortunately it's pos so you would need to take a status output wire, (GWR) and then if it's connected to a by-pass, line diode out via a 1N4004 diode, diode bar towards R/S to a relay:
Connect to 85.
12V+ constant via a 2amp fuse to 86 and 87.
30 to the key sense wire.

Will hook up the keysense then, yes i took the green and orange wire (both diode inulated) for lock, and the blue for unlock yes double pulsed all from p/s kick/glove box.

When i hook up the diode the way you say to for the door pin, i loose doome light functions with the lock and unlock, ie lights are always off, unless i manually turn them on with the switch.????

oohkk, so i hooked up a relay as described above for the key sense, measuered it at the keysense wire, gets 12v when "ground when armed"; (relay also clicks) also read 12 volts at wire when key is inserted, meaning i have correct wire. anyway oem alarm still went off when systemed armed and r/s. 12 volts to k/s wire from relay. Now when the key is in the tumbler and r/s, works flawless, i looked and tested to see if there was more wires that are energised when key is inserted, theres only the black wire. wth.

So i ran outa time as buddy had to go, so i guess next time i work on it, try the arm and disarm oem from viper through  relays, as its only a 200ma signal.

Any help or sugestions?
