an old friend contacted me other day and wants a clifford concept 650mk2 with Istart4 installed into a 2006 lexus is250, had a look at xpresskits site and they list a PKALL and XK05, i have not had to use any modules like this yet, would any one have an input into which one would be better and any info on this car as he has been told that its a pain because it has wireless key tech and push to start button
again i have not had to deal wiht thease features yet either

thanks

Karl

Can you get Idata products? If so, I would suggest the ADS-AL-CA in W2W mode. Have a look at the manual, does not look incredibly difficult. It probably would work fine in D2D mode too, but I prefer W2W (it gives me a way to troubleshoot if there are any problems).

I have used the flcan on that car and it worked out great.  Idatalink or flashlogic would be the way I'd go if I had another one lined up.   I have a coworker who has used pkall on a few of them and has also worked just fine.  There worst part of that install is chasing down the parking light wire.  You have to get a little creative with a hoodpin or use a ball bearing on the hood.

I have just had a message from the guy saying

Ok mate thanks long as I still have wireless key entry and pushstart then I'm happy. One of the guys said if you alarm the Clifford and then approach the Lexus and put you hand near the door handle which then the wireless key kicks in and opens the door it will set of the alarm because u have to disalarm it with Clifford before you approach the car? Dono if this is correct or not.

My first reply was how often do u wonder upto a car with an alRm with out disarming it anyway?:s but just to humor him do u think it would be possible to use the original alarm to disarm the Clifford when it has this situation?

What I was thinking was doing something similar to the callguard mod for the g5 remote using the locking relay soldered to the remote and connect it to the same place you connect the unlock wire into the car so that the original unlock trigger would trigger the remote in the car to disarm the Clifford unit??
