Reading the tech information, is there a power source that on the drivers side of the car that i can use. rather than extending a wire all the way across to the ECU behind the glove??

Yep, fuse box. There's a fat white wire that stares you in the face when you drop the bolster, 80 amp in a 1 pin plug...

Every guide I looked at refered me to the glove box and never that white wire. So I wasn't going to assume it was fine to use. That's what's the forums is for right. I'm a pro at what I've seen.
