Does anyone know how to turn the auto lights off at night / remote started on the 2010 Ford Edge?

I have installed a 5901 viper is there a wire I can cut and relay to the ground while runing wire?

Thanks

are you trying to keep the headlights off while running on remote start?
as at night or when dark, the vehicle turns the headlamps on? use negative parking lights at the headlight switch. if customer leaves headlight switch at auto, doing parking lights negative removes ground feed to switch (disabling auto lamps) and forces the parking light input of the SJB on. you can adjust the turn off delay of the headlamps when ignition is turned off i believe.

you can just leave it. most time out after 30 sec. can use the pos lites in kick panel instead of using a relay. it overrides the auto mode during the day and the park lites come on.

You need to cut the wire and put a relay in it or else you will burn outbthe lightnswitch and the vehicles lights will not go off until it is fix or replaced. Be careful.

i believe the issue is the headlights coming on at night when remote started, because the headlight switch is left in the 'auto' position. not sure how wiring the parking lights positive is going to stop the autolamps system from being triggered. enlighten me?

easy way is to leave in the off position. the postive would make the park lites come on during the day while in auto mode.

i dont think anybody stops the autolamps from coming on at night. it actually is better- it lites the way to the car at night.
