Hello,
I am having trouble finding the lock/unlock wires in a 2011 Kia Soul base model 1.6L. All I have found is that the wires are in the drivers kick panel in a connector but the pins mentioned are not there. Possibly because its the base 1.6L? Can anyone help me please?
Thanks!

Take a look at the harness running behind that white connector...the one that runs to the back of the vehicle. You should find your brown and green wires there. If it has a factory alarm, you would also need to do more interfacing than just triggering the lock/unlock wires. Post back if you do have a factory alarm and I will see if I can find more information for you.

Ok so do you suggest I probe those color wires (if I recall correctly there were more than 1 of each color) and hit the lock/unlock buttons?
It does not have an alarm.

Yes, ALWAYS use your DMM to verify all vehicle wiring before interfacing. For your vehicle it would show ground when pressing lock/unlock on the door switch.

the only problem ive had using those wires is if you have a factory alarm after locking the car using the door switch and shutting the door the car will ignore the unlock command from the switch and your aftermarket fob

I usually use the 2 turn unlock relay and the lock relay negitive triggers

pin 1 is brown        2 turn unlock
pin 12 is RED / Orange    lock relay
pin 13 is Blue/Orange   unlock relay
looking at the fuse box from the back its in the connector 2nd from the left

use the unlock wire set for double pulse and diode isolate the 2 turn unlock wire from the unlock wire. Depending on your system you may need to up the unlock ground pulse with a relay

also on this car if your doing a remote start as well you may need to open up the white ing wire at the switch with a relay and the GWR to prevent starter grind when the key is turned while the car is running under remote start
