First off, I am new to the forum, and look forward to meeting new people..Anyway, I just put a remote start (python) on a 2005 Impala interfacing with the Expresskit DBALL. It remote starts with no issues, so that seems to be ok, but no other features work (keyless, trunk, etc.) I have it wired D2D. Any ideas??

Which flavor of firmware did you flash onto the DB-ALL, 401.GM2 or 401.GM5?

Did it program correctly?

That may be the trick... It was flashed for me.. I only do installs now for myself (This is on my wife's car), so I bought the system from a good friend of mine who is a dealer. Supposed to be flashed with GM2 (I was told)...

Yes, without the XKLoader2 cable you can't verify which firmware is flashed onto the bypass.  I, too, prefer the W2W method.  Hardwiring all the dashed lines is the safe, sure way to go.   Double check your Violet / YELLOW wire from DB-ALL 14 Pin connector to the OBD2 Pin 2 Violet wire.

Did you re-program it to the car after changing over to W2W?  ( The re-programming process also does a reset on the module. )

On the bottom of Page 6 in the install guide it gives the LED flashes you should see with a Lock, Unlock and Trunk release while not remote started.  Do they appear to be occurring?

Have put it to bed for the evening. I did reprogram it when I went W2W, it flashes once when I try to lock, but only once when unlock as well (my understanding is it should flash 2 times) Thank you again for your help also! I retired from installing some time ago, have done a ton of remote starts, but am a bit rusty..and it shows.

If you have resistance locks on that it likely won't work for locks. i know the xk01's clearly state that but i'm not sure that the dball does as well.
Wire up door locks at the bcm through relays and resistors, and get the trunk release at the switch. in the time you spent trying to get it to work through the bypass you could have done that already.

It does have resistance locks -    one wire - 470 ohm for lock. I actually went ahead and did that, and all works well. Was just determined to do it with the DBALL (which may not happen) The only things I need to finish are : The Direct fax document 1600 on the parking lights ( negative trigger - have to be isolated from the BCM to avoid Service Engine Soon light..) - and finally, the factory security disarm - light green at the BCM (gray 16 pin plug) - I found two and have tried each of them and no luck....I have to be missing something.

again guys, sorry for all the questions, bu the help is greatly appreciated.

i don't recall ever actually having to hook up disarm on an impala. try it without. arm it with the factory fob or the door switch wait a minute or so then remote start it and unlock with aftermarket fob and see what happens.

factory fob and door switch arms the factory security. When I unlock or open trunk with aftermarket, it sets off the factory alarm. If you only use aftermarket fob to lock and unlock, it is no issue, but if the door is locked from the switch and then unlocked from fob, alarm will go off.

Alarm Disarm          LIGHT GREEN          (-)          16 PIN PLUG AT BCM

Test it while turning the key to unlock in the drivers door. it will read a negative trigger.
meter red lead on 12v and black lead to disarm wire, then turn the key to unlock and meter should read 12v.
