Please HELP! I tried searching the database and could not find any information on this. I am putting a DEI 5701 Viper in a 2007 dodge durango. I am using the immobilizer bypass with the extra harness I needed to buy. The alarm arms, disarms, starts, works the locks, ect. BUT If alarm is armed, and then car is started, it sets off factory alarm system. How do you disarm the factory alarm system without unlocking the doors from the keyfob? The alarm has several outputs I could use to trigger the disarm, but not sure what wires to use. Everyone I have talked to, says There is no way to do this. Or tells me to take it to the dealer. Can someone help me please? Thanks so much I appreciate it.

you need to set it up so it unlocks(disarms) before start , then relocks itself after it starts up.

Disarm to unlock and either program safelock on or use the neg starter output to relock(diode inline of course.)

With the dei interface hooked to the ignition bypass, it dosent even have any wires hooked up to lock and unlock it uses it through the canbus. If the aftermarket alarm disarms, it unlocks the doors, setting off the factory alarm. none of the wires from the aftermarket alarm are hooked into the vehicle itself at all,a few wires hook to the CHALL with the CHTH2 harness, (expresskit from DEI) and it is hooked with D2D
so how do I make it do that? I have installed these before, I was MECP certified awhile ago when these were large bulky boxes of relays , so Im not really a rookie, just to this dodge system.
Is there a way to use one of the alarms -outputs (through a relay of course) to disarm the factory alarm? I know there used to be wires to do this on older vehicles. If this wasnt my fiance's vehicle i would have said *&ck it.

Redo it w2w as opposed to d2d and then you should be able to do what i said.
