Hey guy I am installing a viper 350 plus in my civic and just wondering about a few things. Btw I have installed a couple dei alarms in my previous civics of the same generation, but this is my first 350+ and factory door locks.

1st will I need the 451 to operate the factory power door locks?

2nd I also have a 508d that I would like to implement in this system. But the brain end is clipped. Possible with the harness supplied witht the system? I read in the manual about an optional sensor harness but no note of a part#.

And
3rd I picked up a Viper logo light to replace the led. It says to wire it to my orange wire but on the 350+ it uses the orange for the starter kill relay. how can I tie this into this system?

Thanks for any help guys.

Clipped? What does this mean?
How are the factory locks wired on this vehicle? I believe for that vintage you would need to add a 451 and an actuator in the driver's door.
The 451 plugs into your existing white lock receptacle.
Your 508d pulls it's power and ground from your system, blue and green joined together and joined via a diode 1N4004 to the alarm's blue wire.
Also place a diode on the blue wire between the trigger (trunk or hood switch) before the join.
If you use the blue for hood and trunk (hatch) triggers, you should also diode separate them. Diode bands in all cases are "away" from the alarm.
The orange should be similarly dioded, this time the bands towards the alarm. There should also be a diode across the starter cut relay, 85 and 86 where 85 is the orange and 86 the (yellow) ignition, band towards 86.

Thanks Howie. My inexperience with the 508d led me to assume there was supposed to be a plug end on the alarm side of the harness.

So just to make sure I have it correct I can wire the blue and green from from the prox sensor to the blue instant trigger wire for the alarm with a diode in line? Will I still be able to wire a hood pin into that also?

And for the viper logo light I just splice into the orange wire also with a diode but the bands on the alarm end of the connection correct?

Thank you very much for your help

Yes and to fully understand look at the DIODE section here, the lower left diagramme is how to wire the 508d to the blue wire, the lower right shows you how to wire the diodes to the armed output (orange) wire.
Also look at the relay section showing immobilisers, normally closed. That would show you the diode configuration for your starter-cut relay

One more quick question on this. Since the LX has factory power locks will I be able to activate them using the 451 or will I still need to purchase an actuator? Thanks again in advance

I think a 91 you only had a switch in the driver's door and you need an actuator from Spal, MES, DEI etc. Open your driver's door to check, unless you already have a keyless entry on the car.
If that's the case you will need a 451.
Stop press! I was wrong!
According to Directwire that vehicle doesn't need an add-on motor, you're locking for a GREEN / WHITE to green and a GREEN/ red to blue from your 350 but please test anyway.

Hey, guys. Finally got aroumd to installing the 350. Thanks Howie, everything went smooth and works great! But.... Lol!

The damn control center led flashes ALL THE TIME! Even when disarmed and i'm driving. It is very annoying. So I unplugged the le d lead from the brain. Alarm still works and I have the other led logo flashing.

But my Q now is. Is there any way to get the control center led to flash only when armed? I have never had a unit that worked this way. I can't imagine why they would have it flash all the time.

Thanks again guys

Well after probing a bit I figured out the led issue. I hadn't hooked up the ignition kill.(didn't really plan on using it) so once I tapped the yellow lead to switched ignition all wad well.

Thanks again
