Dose anyone know if it is possible to upgrade the firware on a cm 4200 compustar remote starter, Its an old one with the push button to program tach. I would like to update the software to program it as tach less or assumed start. These options are avalible on the newer cs4200 dx units. Its a new unit but I have had it for a long time so it would be nice to update it if possible.

you need the ads-usb to flash the module to a newer firmware, but in settings you can change it to tachless.

No, the CM4200 is not firmware upgradeable. The CPU is not capable of doing this.
