I just installed a Python responder one and xpresskit DB-all into a 08 Camry hybrid and it starts but it only runs for about 15 seconds and then it shuts off. The only thing i didnt do was cut the autolight wire and put the relay in, so now after the remote start shuts off it leaves the light son for a few minutes so I'm going to hook that up next. Would that be related to the remote start not staying running? Thanks for any help

15 seconds? Sounds like the RS does not know the car is running. What does the shutdown diagnostics tell you?

Thats a good point, i havent checked that yet, I wired it with D2D so i thought everything would be all set. The xpresskit said that it just puts out a constant 1000 rpm signal on the hybrid vehicles so do i actually have to program the remote start system to look at that for a tach signal or is it automatic once it sees that its connected D2D?

Ill be getting the car back today so I'm just trying to have a few thing to look at once i get it

Thanks

In VirtualTach mode the car learns the tach signal after the parking lights have came on and then you need to shut it down with the remote for it to remember the signal. If you are starting it and did not let the parking lights turn on you will need to relearn virtualtach.
