Just finished installing an avital 5303 rem start on a 2003 maxima, used the pkall bypass, now the car won't start with the key or the remote start unit. i checked and double checked all my connections and i still cant find the problem. any ideas on what i need to do next. thanks in advance

Is connector three of the pkall plugged in all the way? Are you sure it's plugged into the correct port? Did you hook up using D2D or W2W, if you used data, I would strongly suggest using wire to wire. Even though that is the 5303, Avital is not known to play well with D2D connections.

What happens when you try to start the car? Do you see a flashing key light on the dash? If so I would reconnect all the transponder wires back together (basically remove the pkall) and try the key. If it starts then theres an issue with the pkall and/or wiring of pkall. If not then you may want to disconnect the battery for about an hour to reset the computer. I would also check all the main ignition and factory security fuses just in case

disconnected the pkall, checked all the fuses car still doesn't start. I think the key needs to be reprogramed so the immobilizer will "tell" the ecu to let the car start.

If you installed the PKALL then the car should not start if it has just been unplugged. The light green, and orange brown are the 30 and the 87a of a relay interupting the ignition wire,  while the ORANGE / green and brown is a relay interupting the security light wire. Thus removing the pkall is the equivilient of cutting the ignition and security wire in half. I would confirm that you are getting 12v on the ignition wire of that car in the immobilizer harness when you try and start it, if you are not getting it on either side of the wires then fuse, if only on one side of the wires then I bet you have your wires backwards.
