hi, i am trying to get info on how to reprogram a remote for the valet552 car starter. the remote is a 2 button python ezsdei491. i have had this happen few times before and installation place reprogrammed it in vehicle in a few minutes. can anyone tell me how to do this as the installers here have gone out of business. also i have another newer remote from a valet 552 that i want to know if it will work the number is ezsdei471?
again remote is 2 button, you push them both to start.also there is nothing else it does but start the car(no alarms, door locks, ect.

The install manual covers remote programming, starting on page 36. It is in the downloads section, here. As long as the LED on both remotes are the same color (green I believe), they should both work fine.

if the previous shop locked your learn routine when they reprogrammed your remote. you wont be able to do any remote programming until you unlock it. it will need to be hooked to a Bitwriter, PC Interface or Techsoft unit to unlock it.

is there any way to connect it to the pc and unlock it using software from this forum?
the last two times they programed it outside using one of the remotes and key. when i tried the other remote at home it worked again too.

if you saw them program the remotes before without a bitwriter, it must not be locked.

it kinda sounds like you have one flunky remote and one good one?
