A friend of mine has a 96 Honda ex, and said that after she had a after market stereo installed with the scosche adapter. her stock key fob stopped working all together. she also said that they reinstalled the stock head unit to see if that was the problem. and indeed it was the problem. so her question is, Is there something available that she could buy that would remedy the situation. or is there something that needed to be done to retain the operation of the key fob. thanks allot everyone.

Not sure of all the specifics but I've seen this issue plenty before. Metra makes a harness for radio installation that fixes this. Its part number 70-1720T. It has a pigtail harness that plugs into the factory radio to allow the keyless entry to still work. I'm sure Schoshe makes a similar harness and thats what she will need to keep her factory keyless entry.
