Hello!
Vehicle is 2004 Ford Mustang, Auto, 3.9l, V6.
I believe there is a problem with my 500m XCRS module.
FYI, I do have an additional relay wired in as needed.
Started hearing a rather annoying relay chatter under the dash. It wasn't constant, and it was intermittent from time to time as far repeating on every remote start sequence.
Time went on, and during remote start, the heating fan wasn't triggering every time. Last few weeks, the chatter is gone, now heater fan isn't running during remote start sequence.
Disengage the remote start and drive off, and then later shut down the car, the accessory/radio circuit is staying powered! I have to turn the key enough to just start to trigger the starter and then power off again to free the stuck ACC circuit. !!??!!
The only thing I have tried to debug at this point is pull the addtl. relay, and then separately the XCRS's connectors, one at a time. Once I pull the smaller of the two connectors, the AFTER-run ACC relay clears.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

The additional relay serves what purpose?

Oh, the install manual stated that for some cars they state that you may need an additional relay or two to power every circuit properly. I have other threads in here talking about how I was gathering info to put it in some significant time ago.
My apologies BTW, it's a 5900 SST, not a 791xv, but since 'rookies' can't edit posts, I couldn't change it after the fact.
I called around and found a shop that had a spare 500M lying around, and also I found an ebay option to at least buy a new one.
Don't know if it will even solve the problem, but it's one cheap effort to begin with.

T&T tech HAD a good question. What is the additional relay powering?? Are you powering an additional circuit at the ignition switch? Like another accessory or something?
I ususally cut the ribbin in half and power each circuit individually to check the relay. They are ground triggered from the unit. So test ground your pink in the ribbin to see if turns on the igition, ground the orange to test your accessory, and so on. Or without cutting you can DMM it.
