I'm installing a Viper 5101 remote start on a 1995 Chevrolet K1500 truck.  I've hooked everything up as listed below.  When I hit the start button on the remote I can hear the relay inside the control box clicking and the parking lights flash but the starter never starts.  It will continue to flash the lights until I hit the start button again, then I get 4 flashes after that.  The manual said the error was transmitter shutdown but I think thats because I hit the button again.  Any Ideas? Anyone?

H3 8 pin connector:

Pink Ignition 1: Pink wire at ignition harness(12v @ start & run)

RED / white ignition input: 12v constant

Orange accessory: orange wire at ignition harness(12V @ run only)

Violet starter: yellow wire @ ignition harness(12v @ start only)

Red ignition 1 input: 12v constant

Pink/white ignition 2: Pink/white wire @ ignition harness(12v @ acc, run, start)

RED / black accessory input: 12v constant

It has an auto transmission, so I grounded the neutral safety wire.

Do you have the toggle switch plugged in and in the ON position?  Is the 5101 set to automatic or still in default manual?  Hood Pin connected?  Tach learned?  Brake Shutdown connected?

Yes to all except the tach, when I tried the led on the valet sitch never would light as the mnual said.  The tach wire is hooked to the tet lead at the coil also.

Try getting the tach wire at the ECM behind the glove box. That is where I got mine for a 92 k1500
