Easy question hopefully. I hade a Viper 5701 and Smart start installed this past weekend. I decided Im going to get the voice module add on. How hard would it be for me to install this myself instead of taking it back to the place that install my original system

It would be very easy since you can take all connections from the alarm's wiring, alas, i say easy, but i'm a seasoned installer.

I guess my main question is do you just t tap the connections from the 516L to the 5701 and run the two grey wires to the bay for the speaker.

Nope. You strip, wrap, solder and insulate.

thats not what I mean. Do the wires from the original unit 5701 stay connected as well.

Yes. except the pin switch which you shoud diode isolate although i never do, i've heard it can cause issues, but i've never experienced them.
