I have a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport with keyless entry, remote sliding passenger side door and remote rear hatch. I am looking to add an alarm and remote start. Which one should I go with and how should it be done? I would still like to have all the original buttons. I may take it to Best Buy or buy a system and have someone put it in. Whats my best bet?

This all depends on your budget, wants and desires.  Everyone will have their opinion of what works best for them.  I have been using the Viper 5701, which is the same as Clifford 3.3, and Python 872. Other models similar to these have different remotes and a greater range. And greater price.

The range I have with the 5701 has been about 1/4 mile through heavy wooded area,(trees, lots of them), or from the check out of my local WalMart to the opposite end of the building has worked for me. This is installed in my work van with an aftermarket door lock kit installed that have worked great with the 5701. With the tools and equipment I keep on the van I installed a 508 proximity sensor which was too touchy, in my opinion, so I removed it and added a 506 glass breakage sensor.

So you will have to compare what brand has what features that fit your needs and price range.

Any Viper combo model will do wonderfully....I install and own the viper 4702V with it's famous 6000' of range and the 2 way feature. Incredible piece. Good luck...Tell me where you live, I'll send you links where you can buy it online.
