Subject: trailblazer r/s no crank

Hello guys I'm having a no crank issue during a r/s attempt.

Vehicle: 2003 Trailblazer LT
Alarm: python 1600xp
Bypass: omega gmdlbp

I have verified the following (per some other threads I read today)

Ign1 pink has 12v stays on during crank attempt
Ign2 white has 12v stays on during crank attempt
Acc Orange has 12v cuts off during crank attempt
Acc2 Brown has 12v cuts off during crank attempt

(By attempt, I mean when the purple wire goes to 12v)

When the cluster lights up, the security light flashes maybe 2x before the r/s cycle "fails" and attempts to retry.

The door locks function which leads me to believe that the gmdlbp is programmed correctly and communicating over the data line.

Could a gmdlbp operate the door locks but not passlock?

I'm all for trying another bypass but I figured Id ask for advice before doing so.

Thanks

Did you connect your purple starter wire to the yellow starter wire in the car?

Yes, purple to yellow (car side) and green to yellow (key side).

How did you wire your bypass?

For the pink wire, did you connect it to the larger BLACK/ white of the Pyton? Domelight supervision output. Did you change mode 6 to option 2 which is negative polarity? Also, make sure that you bypass module is in mode 1. I would disconnect the pink wire from the bypass module, reset the module, make sure it's in mode 1 which is the mode for your Trailblazer and I would reprogram it completely. Also make sure that your pink (ignition 1) and your White (ignition 2) are properly connected to the Pink and Pink/white from the Pyton. Also, in the programming of the pink/white flex output, make sure that it's set to ignition 2 output and not accessory.

I used the green H1/5 door trigger input.

No sir.

Confirmed.

Should I move it to H 1/4 domelight supervision?

I'll have to verify this.

Also, this might be irrelevant but I noticed something today. When I hit lock or unlock on the python remote, the gmdlbp's led will turn on briefly before the doors lock/unlock. During a remote start attempt, there is no led. Might not mean anything but thought I'd throw that out there.

I presume that you have connected the large orange wire of the python to the orange wire of the Trailblazer. What did you do with the brown accessory wire of the Trailblazer. It needs to be connected as a accessory wire. The use of a relay is needed. Here is how you connect the relay.

85= Small orange wire on the ribbon harness from Python
86= 12v
87= 12v (heavy gauge)
30= output to brown wire of Trailblazer

This wire is needed for proper remote start.

Yes connect the pink wire for the bypass to the larger BLACK/ white of the remote starter....not needed if you don't want your domelight to come on when you unlock.

I got power to acc2 slightly different

85 - from acc1 (orange)
86 - ground
87 - 12v (I did use heavy gauge)
30 - brown

I couldn't get the doors to trigger the alarm unless pink went to green. Even with the BLACK/ white wire unhooked I still have interior lights.

The way you have wired your relay makes your relay work all the time, even when you're using the key..not recommended. The way I specified above will only trigger the relay in remote start operation. Your green wire from the r/s should be connected to your pink/white of your bypass and the pink of the bypass should be connected to the BLACK/ white domelight supervision output of the r/s.

Brown of bypass to blue/white of r/s
Green of bypass to Green of r/s (lock)
Blue of bypass to blue of r/s (Unlock)
Violet/white of bypass N/A
Pink/white of bypass to Green of r/s (door trigger input)
Pink of bypass to BLACK/ white of r/s (domelight surpersion output)
Orange of bypass N/A
Red of bypass to constant 12V
Black of bypass to ground

I didn't think about the relay running all the time!!!

I'll make the necessary adjustments tonight (weather permitting) and post results.

Sylvain you did it!posted_image

As much as I wanted to test the system after each change, I corrected all of the mistakes that you pointed out and did a reset (mode 7) on the gmdlbp. I programmed the platform and she fired right up.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me get this thing right, much appreciated!!!
