Hey all

Whenever I press the unlock button on my two way remote, the truck chips twice like normal, then two to three seconds later the truck emits an additional chirp and my two way remote beeps a high and then low tone repeatedly for like ten seconds.

There has got to be a known solution on this.

Dan

Anybody? I did install CR2016 batteries and it gives the low battery tone right away. Is it even possible that these brand new batteries would be low right after opening them?

I heard that the 5701 had a recall... was it due to the unit itself or a remote issue?

I think I figured the problem out. The remote is a piece of doodie. The brass holder that holds both batteries in place was pulled back a bit from getting old batteries out. This caused a bad connection with the batteries in the remote. I bent the brass down some, so it would exert more downward force on the batteries holding them in the remote further.

I think this solved the problem.

Thanks for all your help. (pun intended)

Dan
