Hello,

I have an 07 sentra and my alarm goes off randomly.
I change the battery for the remote and also change to a new car battery and still the alarm goes off with no reason.
This is a factory alarm, no modification were made.

anybody know what could be the problem?

thanks in advance

I don't have any personal experience with that car but I do have quite a bit of Nissan knowledge.

I would start by looking for a hood pin, especially if the hood has been replaced (or a front end collision has occurred). The only issue is I am not sure if the Sentra has a hood pin.

Doesn't look like there is a hood pin based on the service manual. There is a trunk pin - has there been rear damage to the vehicle? It looks like the only sensors are the four door sensors and the trunk. You can always start disconnecting them one at a time until the problem goes away.

thanks for the quick answer,
there has been a collision, front door by the passenger side mirror, not too bad of an accident but never the less should probably denote it.

How do I get to these sensors and how can I disconnect each and every one of them from the trank? where do I find them and whether is their an individual sensor for each door.

Thanks again

They are the same sensors that turn the dome light on and off. Typically you can find them when you open the door - little black switches with weatherproof rubber boots. Most of them have one screw holding them in place (under the boot). Pull the boot back, remove the screw, and then you can disconnect the wire from the sensor.

This isn't a long term fix as your dome light will no longer work but it is a good troubleshooting step.

The door push switch where the door meets the car.
I'll post you a picture of one from the UK version in a few minutes.
