My trunk opens up when I disarm my g20 alarm system. Anyone has experienced this unsual alarm behavior? How can I prevent this? Anyone with any good idea?

I have a black wire coming out of my control unit with a lenght of 8''? Is it the antenna? What should do with it? Do I leave it like that or should I connect it to the frame?
My alarm is a scytek g20 and my car is a cavalier 2005.

The small black wire hanging is probably your antenna, try to route it as high in the vehicle as possible.
I assume you did not install the unit yourself.
Here is the owner's/install manual for the G20. Make sure that the gray wire from the G20 is the wire going to the BCM (BLACK/ white) for trunk release and not the BLACK/ white from the G20. ------------- Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

i had the same problem a while back on a 2005 malibu,i think i dis connected the dome light supervision wire and took care of it.

Well, I did the installation and I am proud to say that today I'm lesser a noob than yesterday.
So, about the wire colors, I checked everything twice. I'll test them again tomorrow anyway. To test the trunk wire, I just grounded the gray wire, from the connector side, with a needle to the frame and the trunk opened. I assumed that I chose the right wire from the BCM.
I know that my door triggers (-) don't have diode yet. This might be the solution.

I'll try to add a diode on the dome light first, and disconnect it then.

I tried the diode on the malibu and it didn't work,the only way was to remove the dome supervision wire.keep us posted.

I finally fixed it with your help prdjr165! The problem was the dome light wire from the car. Connecting it with the dome light supervision alarm's wire pops open the trunk while disarming. Some wire diagrams would suggest to use the passenger door trigger to connect the dome light supervision wire. But, this makes the open door signal to beep during the time the supervision light is being turned on by the control unit.
Best option is simply not to connect the dome light supervision wire.
