I'm installing an alarm, autopage c3-rs-915 on a 2007 Toyota Tacoma double cab automatic. I already download the information for wire colors and location. I cannot find the 10 pin plug in (door lock/factory arm/disarm) drivers kick panel. Can someone please tell me where to find it and test for the wires.

The print out says the polarity is negative and when I tested the suspected wires with DMM the polarity did not change. This is how I tested, DMM positive lead to 12v and negative lead to suspected wires while pressing lock/unlock on keyfob and driver side switch. I also pulled the driver side door panel off and test at driver switch. I believe I have a 5 wire lock sytem not sure what that means?

Please feel free to correct me if my methods are wrong.
Any suggestions on where to find wires or test for them?

Thanks.

The wires you need are not located on the drivers door panel anywhere. They actually come from the drivers key cylinder. You need to turn the key in the drivers door to test them. They will rest at 12 volts and go to ground. The unlock wire will unlock the drivers door on the first pulse an the rest on the second pulse.

Remove the drivers kick panel and look for a harness wrapped in flexable black plastic, In the harness will be two plugs coming from the drivers door boot. The plugs are not mounted to anything like the rest of the plugs there. The 10 pin plug is here, lock is blue/WHITE/ pin 6, unlock is gray/pin 7

Thanks for the excellent description on where to find the plug. All the plugs I was looking at were mounted on something, this one was hanging inside the boot!

I tested the blue/white and gray wires, but they rest at 12v and when key is used in driver key cylinder to lock/unlock it only drops down to around 11v.

Should I connect these wires anyways and see if it works? Is there a possibilty of damaging anything?

My notes agree with Mike M2's advice in connecting these, but it looks as it is not going to ground.

Finally tested all those wires in the 10 pin plug. The only wires that go from 12v to ground are blue/black (unlock) and WHITE/ red (lock), but when I connected these wires to the alarm I had no luck with locking/unlocking from alarm remote. The WHITE/ red wire only has 12v at rest when at least one door is unlocked.

Note: The truck does not have day time running lights, but it is 2wd, TRD off road,
          SR5, V6.
When arm/disarm from alarm remote parking lights blink, but the front lights do
not blink. I connected parking lights to green (+) fuse box 13 pin plug.

Any suggestions on front lights and lock/unlock wires.

Ugh, my am very sorry but i told you the wrong colors!!!!

Lock will be purple in pin 4, unlock will be GREEN/ black in pin 8. These are the arm/disarm wires and control the door locks. Test these by the key cylinder.posted_imageposted_image

The lights are green, 13 pin plug, pin 10. I prefer using the negative lights myself tho..

Thanks mike M2,

I will try those wire this weeked and report back. From my understanding the purple, GREEN/ black wires do not Lock/unlock when remote start is activated. When I initiatially tested these wires I was not receivivg 12v at rest. I tested these with DMM w/o turning key in driver key cylinder. I was looking for wires that read 12v on my DMM and then when I found those I turned the key in driver's door key cylinder to see if they went to ground.

Not true, the gr/bl and purple will definately move the locks whether the RS is on or not. Won't matter....
