I just bought this keyless entry and have a question on wiring the door locks. The vehicle is a 1991 Jeep Cherokee that has factory door locks. The Jeep has two factory relays that handle the lock/unlocking. These relays are triggered by +12v sent to pin 86 that in turn sends +12v to pin 30 to activate the door locks.

I'm not sure how to wire the door locks. Can anyone tell me if the H1/5 GREEN/ black lock wire and the H1/8 blue/black unlock wire outputs +12v or (-) ? What's the correct way to do this? Thanks.

The 2101 has internal relays for door locks. The installation manual labels the wires with their corresponding relay post numbers.

The H1/5 and H1/8 are the same as pin 30 on each relay and output what you put into H1/7 and H1/9 which are pin 87.

So, hook H1/7 and H1/9 to +12V fused. Then connect H1/5 and H1/8 to your vehicle's factory door lock relays.

Or to my simple mind, violet and violet/black to 12V+ constant, GREEN/ black to lock relay, blue/black to unlock relay, WHITE/ black and BROWN / black, don't use and insulate the wire ends.

Never worked with on-board relays before so I wasn't sure but I got it now! Many thanks for clearing this up.

For your future reference:-
2 wire output, no lock relays.
6 wire output, on board relays.
