Hey how's it going I have a 2008 Honda civic lx sedan, and I'm installing a viper 5901 in it right now. I was wondering if I could just diode the factory arm and disarm wires into my door lock harness from my alarm unit?

No, arm/disarm will not lock/unlock doors in this vehicle.

Hi how's it going, I have a 2008 Honda Civic Sedan and I was cleaning up the wires trying to reroute and solder everything. I accidently had the ignition 1 wire touch a ground/metal on the car and it sparked. I checked all the fuses now and wires. Nothing smells burnt, no fuses were blown..

So I'm stumped, I tried starting the car, won't even crank. I hear relays clicking! My door lock & unlocked worked for awhile, and now it stopped working as well. The windows won't roll down anymore either. What could have went wrong? I don't think I shorted out the MICU that easily, it was a light tap.

I tried jumping the battery but it's still full it's a new battery. I checked the ignition fuse under the hood fusebox, that's fine. What else could it be? Everything lights up! When key is turned it makes a clicking noise.

How are you testing your fuses? You need to use a DMM set to voltage and have the vehicle running, just eyeballing them won't work. Probably have a main ignition fuse blown under the hood.

The Viper arm wire is lt.GREEN / WHITE (-) and disarm is lt.GREEN/ black (-)

On the Civic

Factory Alarm Arm (-)(orange or pink)(Driver kick panel or MICU)
Factory Alarm Disarm (-) (brown) (Same position)

For your ignition problem, I agree that you can't visually see a burned fuse, use a test probe, test light or a digital voltmeter to test your fuses. You probably have a main ignition fuse blowned.

My guess is a main fuse, relays are well protected.
