I'm new to this and I'm trying to install a 460hp python alarm system. I'm only confused about one thing. When do I need to install relays? Most of the wiring guides I've looked at are conflicting. Do I need one for the parking lights/trunk release/domelight? I believe I do not need one for the door if I use diodes to prevent a + signal being sent from the alarm system.

You will need 2 diodes, one for each front door trigger and 1 relay for the lock side plus a resistor.
You won't need relays for the lighting or trunk release, they are both negative switching. If you PM me with your email address I'll send you the print-out, meanwhile study relays and diodes on this site.

Hello again, you should have received the info but there is something else and you're right about the diodes, look in the download section on this site, DEI Tech 1076, this is when the body control module "goes to sleep", then wakes up at certain intervals, e.g. every hour. This sends a pulse through all the circuits which will sometimes trigger the alarm.
