Ford "Gold" Alarm/Remote Start Help needed
I understand that these units have two(2) auxillary outputs to be commanded by the buttons one(1) and two(2) respectively from the six button remote. Currently Ford has my number one(1) output connected to the headlamps which is what I wanted. The number two(2) output doesn't appear to be connected to anything. Has anyone or does anyone know how to connect this auxillary output to control the powerscope mirror fold command ? That would be AWESOME.
found the instructions and found the trigger wire for the "options" such as power lift gate and/or rear defroster which are supposed to be ground trigger wire. My issue is that pressing the aux2 button on my remote gives NO output at all. Is there some programming required to enable aux2 output ?
ALL help would be greatly appreciated.

How are you testing the output ? If I remember right it should be the BLACK/ green In the c harness. A negative output.
As far as the folding mirrors there should be 2 wires at the mirror assy they act like a 5 wire lock circuit (both wires rest on ground and when the switch is used it turns one to 12v) activates the motor. I don't see how one output on the system can control both fold in and fold out maybe just fold in. As for the colors if you want them I can get them when I get to work tommorrow.

That would be of great help. Thank you. As far as testing the output, I may be "testing" it incorrectly. I just took an ohm meter from ground to output wire and sent a signal which should have fired the output. No reading obtained from output wire.
Is there another output available ? I would like to be able to fold and unfold the mirrors remotely. If not can it be wired so that when the alarm is "armed" that the mirrors fold and when the alarm is "unarmed" that the mirrors unfold ?
All assistance would be greatly appreciated.
am I going about testing the output incorrectly ? Why would it show no trigger ? Is there a programming required to enable this output ?
Try putting the red lead of your dmm on 12v and Put the black lead on the wire and active the output. Your meter should read 12v when the output is activated
