I have spent two days reading on here and decided to post as i have found some conflicting info.
Installed the 350plus and everything works but the power locks. There is a 12v signal being sent from the module corresponding to the appropriate input to the remotes. The wires appear to small to output the required current. I have the signal wires soldered into the corresponding signals from the switch in the door. I believe i may be in need of a relay to get the signal and output the needed current. The problem is i have been told i ahve a 5 wire reverse polarity, i have a 3 wire, and also all i need to do is just wire it the way i have it. I tried responding to previous topics but they were closed already.
Thank you so much in advance.
Chris
The type of Door Lock system depends on the trucks body style and/or if it has Factory Keyless Entry.
Info from Bulldog:
POWER LOCK LIGHT BLUE (TYPE C), See NOTE #2 IN EITHER DOOR BOOT
POWER UNLOCK WHITE (TYPE C), See NOTE #2 IN EITHER DOOR BOOT
NOTE #2: if vehicle is a 2-Door it is a TYPE C door lock system, if vehicle is a 4-Door or if it
has a FACTORY KEYLESS ENTRY System it is a TYPE A door lock system. If vehicle
is equipped with a FACTORY KEYLESS ENTRY the vehicle is a TYPE A System.
This info from Audiovox:
Power Unlock WHITE (REV) W/OUT KEYLESS ENTRY REVERSE POL (5 WIRE) (+) ON MODELS WITH KEYLESS
PowerLock LIGHT BLUE (REV) DRIVER'S KICK PANEL W/KEYLESS POS (+) ON MODELS WITH KEYLESS
As noted above, the lock wires can be located in the Drivers Kick Panel.
I am not familiar with the Viper 350+ system and can't find an install guide for it. However, after
determining the lock system in your truck and locating & verifying the wires, the safe, easy way to wire up
either system is with the use of the DEI 451M relay pack, available "online" for less than $10. While the
Viper 350+ might be able to directly interface the Type A (+) system, it can't handle the Type C (REV) system directly. The
451M will handle either. Here is a link to the 451M install guide : https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=726
