A customer of mine wants an alarm system for a semi trailer that he parks several miles from his house.

He's looking to have this system notify him (and/or the police) in the event of a break-in. The trailer currently has a self contained 12 volt electrical system on-board. I envision some type of cell phone with an automatic message as part of the package. I need to protect for 2 entry doors and 1 window, possibly a motion sensor too.

Does this sound like something from the automotive aftermarket industry or am I looking to modify a home alarm system?

Any brand names, models other ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

A tracking device with a geo-sensing zone around where the unit is parked would be the best, coupled to an alarm or motion sensor and door triggers that when triggered makes the tracking device "flag" or alarm up on the home computer or cell phone.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
