I have installed a Vam combo remote starter and it worked great until now . This is the situation yesterday, road construction was going on outside and caused the unit to chirp 3 times and then the alarm went off . i hit the remote to unlock so the alarm would shut off , I then tried to start my car and it would not turnover . the starter would keep turning but never turnover. i tried starting my car manually with the key and the same thing has happen . I waited about a hour for tow truck and my car for some reason could start again like normal , Then today there is road construction once again, my alarm chirped 3 times but did,'t go off , but the same effect happen , my car would not turn over . my battery has plenty of juice and you can here my starter winding to turnover but it just will not turn over , What could be possible causing this problem ,, any ideas? , my car is a dodge stratus 2000

Did you hook up an ignition  disable circuit on the alarm ?

I didnt hook up a ignition disable circuit on the alarm , nit to sure what that is or does it matter if you didnt hook up that part of the alarm?

The ignition disable works the same as the starter disable but because you said that the starter engaged but didn't catch, that would make me guess that the ignition wire was interrupted. Does the key have a GRAY head on it or is it a BLACK head? The alarm may have tripped the Immobilizer chip to not start the car. The best thing to do is to have the vehicle put onto the diagnostics computer to get the error on the CPU read and see what happened.

the key has a black head on it , would the alarm itself have a Immobilizer chip or does the car have a Immobilizer chip ? and is there away to get around this? I just made a appointment to have it diagnostic and at the moment my car still doesn"t start . ahh what fun this is . any how ,thanks for your help on this ,
