Quick question regarding the new viper smart start gps module vsm250. I'm picking up a python 991 alarm and I found a good deal on craigslist for a VSM250 module. I'm just curious if the vsm250 module will work with a python alarm. Or must it be a DSM250 module? I know it's all dei and my instinct is that its fine, but just want to make sure there's not some minor difference such as communication protocol or something that would prevent the vsm250 from working with a python alarm. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

That letter is just for branding.  Has nothing to do with operation.  Will work fine.

Thanks for the confirmation. I figured that was all it was, but with my luck it doesn't pay to take chances. Thanks for clearing that up for me, much appreciated.
