As long as the remote you want to use is compatible with both systems, you should be able to do it. I've done it a handful of times on Matrix series stuff. Its a few extra programming steps but makes things alot easier if you carry keys to 2 cars. What systems are you wanting to do this on?

User programming, assuming the remotes are both the same type, * button x 3 plain once, push the padlock button, 2 chirps, push again The problem you will now have is that the cars have to be at least 100 yards apart! Look at your owners manual, it gives you an exact description, about page 20
That's assuming your 650 Mk ll is the latest generation, that is the remotes on both units look the same, if not they aren't compatible with each other, also since you have to carry two sets of car keys anyway why bother. Again why didn't your installer sort this out but we've been here before haven't we.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

The installer said he didn't know how to do it, but as you say it is in the manual so will be emailing him about it. plus I only had the car he was working on with me.
