So I was looking at the diagram from the trunk trigger wire.. Says that its a (-) instant trigger input.. dose that mean that it sends a (-) signal or a (+)?
What I'm trying to do here, being that I dont have a trunk release, I want to hook it up to my train horn so when I hit the trunk button on my smart start it will blow the horn. Or just use my remote to be faster. The way the button is wired is with a positive wire completing the circuit(valve is grounded at location). Also will it just be a quick honk or how long will the signal be sent? I guess I could listen to the relay in the brain to determine that but..
So questions are
1: Should I switch the way I have the button from completing the circuit with a (+) to a (-)?
2:how long will it send the signal?
3: is the wire even for that? It seems as I read that particular wire might be for some viper add-on, idk.
thanks in advance.

The wire you initially described actually monitors the trunk lid and tells the viper when it is opened, activating the alarm. You need either the trunk release wire, which is RED / white, or one of the many aux ouputs which can be setup to be timed outputs. The manual for the viper is available on this website in the downloads section. In any which way you decide to go you will still need a relay to convert the negative output from the viper to positive as all of the viper auxilliaries/trunk release are negative output only.
