hey everybody,
im looking for install instructions for a clifford matrix 1.2 remote start (p/n 4102x).
my dad just bought a new truck and the previous owner had installed the r/s but there are some issues that i need to fix as they were not done correctly and i will also need the programming options listed in the install manual

i buy this same system, but i saw it says smart start which should be with a cell phone. how do i activate that option?/

You need to buy the Smart Start unit, also here we can buy it with UK GSM, what does the US version use and what cellular system do they use in Jamaica? US or UK?

You will have to find a dealer in Jamaica/or wherever you got your current unit.

well after so many months as past, with the system in doing some reading etc is there any way to get this thing to alarm when arm? if not since it does not seem to even been an alarm any way to tie it in with a cheap one?

matrix 1.2 is just a remote starter,smart start will work with alarms but you have to buy an alarm/starter combo for the security features which will work with smartstart, when you say alarm when arm do you mean confirmation honk when locking/unlocking via remote or smartstart app? if so then you just need to tie in the horn honk output from matrix to vehicle horn wire with or without relay depends on the vehicle.

well full alarm like if i kick the car it goes off, i was thinking if i add like a shock sensor or a DEI 508D Dual Zone Motion i might get something out of it. is it possible?

as you know its just a remote start/keyless entry only if i add like the DEI 508D to it will it trigger alarm if someone goes close?

adding sensors wont do anything because it is not programmed to behave like an alarm and it has no sensor inputs for warn away or alarm

yea i come to that conclusion. i have an option to just tru it out an get a IntelliGuard IG 770 system, or change the brain to a 3.3x matrix.
