I installed an Avital 2101 Keyless in my 94 Mustang GT. I have everything hooked up but trunk release and horn honk. They both are a negative 300ma trigger output. I used relays to change polarity to positive and it still will not does not work. I am using a siren instead of horn honk but when I trigger remote I still have no output when testing after the relays with test light. What am I doing wrong?

The horn is a straight (-), Yellow wire to the right of the steering column.  Relay conversion to (+) isn't needed.

The Trunk Release is (+), Purple / YELLOW low in the Drivers Kick Panel.  Wiring for the relay should be:
Relay Pin 85 to Avital Trunk Release Output
Relay Pin 86 and 87 to +12v constant thru 20A fuse
Relay Pin 30 to Mustang Purple / YELLOW Trunk Release wire
Relay Pin 87A not used - insulate

Soldering is fun!

This is the way I wired the relay, i got this from this site

pin 86 & 30 to fused 12 volt +
pin 85 to negative trigger
pin 87 to trunk wire
pin 87a not wired

are they wrong

Kreg and your relay diagrams in this case are BOTH correct but I would modify them to retain the circuit and protect your alarm's circuitry.
Cut trunk release feed, then:
Switch (front end) side to 87a.
Trunk side to 30.
RED / white from Avital to 85 via a 1N4004 diode, band towards relay.
Constant 12V+, fused at 15amps to 86 and 87.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
