Help guys,

I am wiring an Alarm/ Remote Entry unit in my 67 GTO and I am having much difficulties with trying to figure out the deffinitions of each.

My old car only has a lead with 12V on it trough the coustesy lights looking for a ground when the door is opened, to turn on the lights.

Would you hook up the Neg Door Trigger lead to this, or do I need some extra stuff like another switch?

Find the pin switch in the front of the door jamb, there should be a single wire connected to the back of it.  It may be a white wire.  Connect it to that wire.

It's a white wire with 12V coming to the door switch from the courtesy lights. It goes grounded when the door is opened and I have tried hooking it to the door - wire, but no help.

I am at my wits end and have been in electronics all my life.

That's the correct one. Assuming a DEI alarm it would go to the green wire.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
