I'm looking at the 528t wiring diagrams and I have a basic understanding of how it works. I am confused about the last diagram however. It is the diagram that disconnects the circuit so that the alarm does not activate. It says to pulse the strip wire to disconnect circuit but when you look at the diagram it says that the black w/stripe wire is not used. Which wire is receiving the pulse? I am missing something simple but not sure what.

You're absolutely right, join the BLACK/ white to the yellow otherwise it just won't happen!
Typical DEI typo, the only reason no one's picked that one up before is that it's probably the least used idea.

Nice thanks for the reply. That makes sense. Are their products as bad as their manuals?

Actually the products with some exceptions, the 5901 2 way remotes and a batch of bad internal relays are usually pretty good.
I'm just a bit peeved with having to point out installation manual errors over the last 10 years.
Remember the instructions are written for installers, not the public, we are supposed to have knowledge of what the product is capable of.
