i have an 06 charger
need headlight relay diagram for dei alarm "ready remote"
what fuse ,resistor, diagram do i need?
i know its the w/br wire in the switch
i dont know if i should use the diagram here https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=92355&KW=itzme
and im confused where to put the resistor and what size
Thanks for the help.
o and my horn doesnt go off when the alarm triggers but it chirps when u lock it?

Info from Bulldog : 2700 ohm resistor. Here is a diagram : https://www.bulldogsecurity.com/diagrams/extrainfo/diagrams/22483_CHARGER_CHRYSLER%20PARKING%20LIGHT%20DIAGRAM.pdf
DEI recommends a 1670 ohm resistor and to relay isolate away from switch. Use 30/40A SPDT relay.
Wire as follows: Relay Pin 86 to (+) Parking Light output of Ready Remote Relay Pin 30 to cut WHITE/ Brown - Vehicle side. Relay Pin 87A to cut WHITE/ Brown - Light switch side. Relay Pin 85 to chassis ground. Relay Pin 87 to 1670 Ohm resistor to chassis ground.
Horn symptom is normal for Dodge. ------------- Soldering is fun!

well i have the parking lights in the pass. kick panel
do i use two resistor or follow this
Wire as follows: Relay Pin 86 to (+) Parking Light output of Ready Remote Relay Pin 30 to cut WHITE/ Brown - Vehicle side. Relay Pin 87A to cut WHITE/ Brown - Light switch side. Relay Pin 85 to chassis ground. Relay Pin 87 to 1670 Ohm resistor to chassis ground.
what about the fused 12v 10 amp..dont need it?
sorry this relay is just confusing

The previous info is for using the (-) Parking Light wire ( WHITE/ Brown ). Bulldog Security info on (+) Parking Light (WHITE/ Purple) looks suspect concerning the resistor. I have always used the WHITE/ Brown @ switch.
According to DEI, the (+) Parking Light wire is activated with a straight +12v from the remote starter. Parking Lights (+) WHITE/ purple + passenger kick, harness to rear Here is a link to their info : https://www.readyremote.com/main.asp?action=select&yr=6168&product=Remote Start&make=Dodge&model=Charger# ------------- Soldering is fun!

yeah the parking lights i have wired stright to the pass kick no relays or resistors
and they work
its the headlight wire, y/br from the ready remote, that im putting in
its not listed on the site so idk what to do
thanks for the help so far btw im a noob so haa sorry
..ur right soldering is fun =]

Here is info from Audiovox for the Headlights ( Low Beam ) :
Headlights-Lo WHITE/ BROWN (-) AT VEHICLE HEADLIGHT SWITCH Use (-) THROUGH 1.2K OHM RESISTOR, MUST ISOLATE FROM SWITCH WITH A RELAY
Looks like we are back to the WHITE/ Brown Parking Light MUX wire at the switch. This time it calls for a 1200 ohm resistor, same relay wiring but Pin 86 goes to the Ready Remotes (+) Headlight output. ------------- Soldering is fun!

so like this (crosses fingers)
Wire as follows: Relay Pin 86 to (+) headlight Light output of Ready Remote Relay Pin 30 to cut WHITE/ Brown - Vehicle side. Relay Pin 87A to cut WHITE/ Brown - Light switch side. Relay Pin 85 to chassis ground. Relay Pin 87 to 1200 Ohm resistor to chassis ground

Yes. That will do it: Here is picture of the WHITE/ Brown MUX wire in a Caravan. Find a convenient place to cut the wire and make the solder connections.

Just checked a Ready Remote install guide. It looks like the Headlight output is only (-) 400mA and not selectable to a (+) output. In that case, connect that Yellow/Brown wire to the Relay Pin 85 and connect Relay Pin 86 to +12v constant thru a 5A fuse.
Sorry, not familiar with the Ready Remote unit although I did mark it in the relay diagram as (+) signal.

Goood reading for ANYONE that is considering doing this type of work.... often ! -------------

yeah its not working
just put in the 5 amp fuse and hooked it up
i use 1 1k ohm and 2 100 ohm resistors soldered in series
hmmm do u want some readings from the multimeter?? if it would help
lol there was a 100k ohm in the 100 ohm box and i almost bought it

** hooked it up and then put in fuse

Does the relay click when the Ready Remote tries to turn on the headlights?
If your are confident you have located the correct MUX wire, as a test you could connect one side of the 1.2k ohm resistor network directly to the vehicle side of the cut MUX wire and the other side of the resistor to chassis ground. That will prove you have the correct wire and the resistance value is correct. Doing the same thing with a 1670 ohm resistor should get the parking lights on.. ( One time, on a 2006 Dodge Caravan, it was necessary to increase the resistor value to get the Parking Lights to come on and not the Headlights.) ------------- Soldering is fun!

im reading 1196 ohm in the ground
and when connected to the mux w/b vehicle side it turns on the parking parking lights
so should i lower the resistance
and i cant hear the click as the ready remote click pretty loud

You got the right MUX wire. Did the parking lights come on when it was controlled by the Ready Remote headlight output & relay?
If 1196 ohms does the Parking Lights, try it with a 1k resistor. Might be easier to buy a 0 to 5k potentiometer ( trim POT ) and test with that. Use the DMM and set it to 1.2k then connect & slowly adjust until the parking lights go off and the headlights come on. Then measure the current resistance value. ------------- Soldering is fun!

its 760
i un soldered my guitar pot 500k
barely tapped it till it turned off
then i broke the lug..****me
tested it with the new resistors plug it in and nothing
so its got to be a bad relay, but nobody sells them NOBODY
thank for all the help so far i feel iv learned alot

You have a DMM so you can test the relay.
In the non-energized state, check for a short ( ~0 ohms ) between Pin 87A & Pin 30 and an open between Pin 87 & 30.
Use some jumpers to apply ground to Pin 85 and +12v to Pin 86, energizing the relay. With the relay is energized you should see an open between Pin 87A & Pin 30 and a short between Pin 87 & Pin 30.
Most better automotive stores have the relays. You could also try a local auto stereo / alarm shop. ------------- Soldering is fun!

so idk what i did but it works when the car finder and dlr is on but not the panic or fully triggered alarm
i guess i only tried the panic earlier

btw the y/b wire reads lower when the alarm is triggered and higher when the carfinder button is pressed
that might be the problem

the headlight output while the drl, toggle headlights, or car finder mode is .5v
while the output for the alarmtriggeRED / panic mode is .1v
the drl/toggle/car finder work, but not the panic/triggered alarm
