i am getting confused about BLACK/ white wire(ignition 1 some say it is) and BLACK / YELLOW wire(Ignition 1 some say it is too) and my car BLACK/ white wire looks more like gray/white. Is their a way of testing them. I only know yellow/black powers dashboard like you would turn the key into on position.

Test the vehicles ignition wires with a Digital Multi Meter.  Below is a guide for
wire identification.

Battery  +12V Constant:
Verification: This wire will register ( + ) voltage in all positions of the ignition
switch.

Ignition:
Verification: This wire registers voltage when the key is turned to the ON (or
RUN) position. The voltage does not drop out when the key is turned to the
START (or CRANK) position.

Starter:
Verification: This wire registers voltage only when the key is turned to the
START position.

Accessory Wire:
Verification: This wire registers voltage when the key is turned to ACC
(Accessory) and the ON (or RUN) position. The voltage drops out when the
key is turned to the START (or CRANK) position.

Thank you for your reply it will save time
and also when i test wire ignition wires can voltage drop 10v in start position and increase to 13v or 14v or has to stay died on 12v

One more thing Remote start input, 5-pin connector and Remote start auxiliary output, 5-pin wire from does two connters are requered to just test if the remote will start the car. I just have Tach (VIOLET/WHITE) wire hacked up.

A standard car battery will be about 12.3V.  While the starter is cranking it can drop to around 10V.  While the engine
is running and the alternator is supplying the vehicles needs, it will read around 14.3 V.

Remote start input, 5-pin connector                                                            Needed?              Use
1 BLACK/ WHITE (-)                NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH INPUT             Mandatory       If Auto Trans, connect to chassis ground.
2 VIOLET/WHITE                   TACHOMETER INPUT WIRE                        Optional           Most reliable remote start operation.
3 BROWN (+)                         BRAKE SHUTDOWN WIRE                           Mandatory       Connect to (+) Brake Pedal wire
4 GRAY N/O or N/C (-)           HOOD PIN SWITCH INPUT, ZONE 6             Mandatory       Connect to Hood Pin Switch
5 BLUE/WHITE (-) 200 mA     2ND STATUS/REAR DEFOGGER                Optional           Various uses

Remote start auxiliary output, 5-pin
1 PINK/WHITE (-) 200mA     FLEX RELAY CONTROL OUTPUT                 Optional   Not needed on '98 Corolla
2 ORANGE (-)     200mA     ACCESSORY OUTPUT                                   Optional   Not needed on '98 Corolla
3 VIOLET (-)     200mA       STARTER OUTPUT                                         Optional   Not needed on '98 Corolla
4 PINK (-)       200mA          IGNITION 1 OUTPUT                                       Optional   Not needed on '98 Corolla
5 BLUE (-)       200mA         STATUS OUTPUT                                           Optional   Not needed on '98 Corolla

Here is a link to the Viper 5701 Install guide :  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=710

There are many things that need to be done for a successful install.  You will need it for setting the Program Options and the Tach Learn process, etc.

The 5701 comes with the Manual Transmission mode as the default setting in menu 3. Follow the guide to change it to automatic and then program your tach, run time etc. and you'll be fine

Turn key to the on position for one sec, then off.

Press valet button three times. (Do the next step within a few secs)

Press once and hold valet button until 3 chirps are heard. (Dont release the button until the chirps are heard)

Press valet one time.

Press and hold the valet button, while holding the valet button, hit unlock on the viper remote.

Release the valet button.

Turn the ignition on to exit programming mode.

Are you in Tach Mode?  Viper 5701 Menu 3, Item 2, Option 4.

Did you connect the Viper's Tach wire ( Violet/White ) to a DMM verified tach source?

Did you do a successfull Tach Learn process?

Did you perform / check the Shutdown Diagnostics  for errors?

All this can be found in the 5701 Install Guide :  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=710

For the tach had one of wires from the Distributor that goes to the ecu. I have tested wire with multimeter it was like 4v to 6v in high rpm i am not shore so i will check it again.

What is the difference between Tach Mode and Virtual Tach

Posted By: kreg357

This from the 5901 Install Guide :
Virtual Tach
Virtual Tach is a new feature for Directed this year. It is the default RPM-sensing
method for the new Responder LC hybrid security/remote start systems. Virtual
Tach gives the installer the performance of a hardwired tach wire, with the
convenience of voltage sensing. It is far superior to any voltage-sense feature
you’ve tried before.
Virtual Tach monitors the cranking voltage of the vehicle using a very fast microcontroller
and an analog-to-digital converter. The microprocessor “saves” the
base voltage as a reference. When Virtual Tach “sees” the slightest uptick in
voltage, indicating that the alternator is charging the battery, the starter motor
shuts off instantly.

From your problem description, it sounds like the Viper does not know / think that the engine is
running and tries to start it again.  Connected to a good tach source, programmed for Tach Mode
and properly Tach Learned, the remote starter won't do this.

As noted previously, it is the most reliable method for remote starting a vehicle.  This info from DEI :

Tachometer       YELLOW /GREEN or RED / blue        ac             either ignition coil, 4 pin plug, pin 2

Great.  Did you do the Tach Learn procedure?
To learn the tach signal:
1. Start the vehicle with the key.
2. Within 5 seconds, press and hold the Valet/Program switch.
3. After 3 seconds the LED will light constant when the tach signal is learned.
4. Release the Valet/Program switch.
