Recently, I installed a Viper 1002 alarm in my 2009 Jeep Wrangler. It came with one blue LED indicator light, which I have mounted in my center console.

I was wondering, can I mount more? I would love to have another mounted towards the rear. The alarm module only has the single plug-in for the blue LED. Can I tap into the wire and extend a 2nd LED to the rear?

I just noticed that DEI has the 629L LED module. Looks like then ends are bare wire. I googled but cannot find instructions on installation. How/can I put this to use?

Red to constant 12V+, black to Orange GWA wire from alarm.
N.B. If you have any other accessories on that wire such as a window closer, diode the orange, 1N4004 band towards alarm.

Nope, I've not nothing else. So I can just tap the black wire to the orange GWA wire without a 1N4004, right?
